Between-wear care without a bigger kit

Inspect before putting away
Check the garment in good light for marks, damage or anything needing attention. Decide whether it is ready for storage, requires cleaning or should join a repair queue. Avoid placing an item back in the ready-to-wear section simply because you intend to deal with it later.
Read before brushing or treating
A clothes brush may be appropriate for some surfaces but unsuitable for others. Follow garment and tool instructions, and seek specialist advice for delicate or unfamiliar materials. Do not treat every mark with the same product. The presence of a brush in a photograph does not establish compatibility with a fabric.
Choose storage that suits construction
Use the garment's care guidance and construction to decide whether to fold or hang it. Avoid overcrowding that makes removal awkward or compresses items unnecessarily. Keep the space appropriately clean and dry. A simple arrangement that lets you see what is ready is often more useful than a new set of dividers.
Keep the routine proportional
The goal is an informed decision, not a long ritual for every piece of clothing. Record persistent problems and address their cause rather than repeatedly adding products. Follow appropriate cleaning guidance for hygiene needs; airing is not a universal replacement for washing or professional cleaning.
